The movie is a project to glorify firefighter Alexey and showcase his journey as heroic. He is reunited with his estranged girlfriend and discovers about his child. While he is still figuring out how to manage the relationship, Chernobyl disaster happens. The protagonist Alexey seems to be present in all key moments of the Chernobyl disaster. The other characters or citizens are completely ignored. The casual handling of the facts for melodrama do not help.

Movies like this are a waste of time - existence of anachronism!

Wonderful themes from an authentic queer love story! Sloppy executions mars the movie - Really wanted it to succeed!

Mansi and Veer are gay and arrive in Delhi to meet their respective partners, who refuse to acknowledge the relationship. Suffering from heartbreaks, both discover each other on a road trip and the soulmates settle down. But twists are bound to happen!

The Jab We Met influence is visible. Electric Mansi is Geet while no-nonsense Veer is Aditya. Zareen Khan and Anshuman Jha give sincere performances and have a great chemistry. Awesome job! The supporting cast is wonderful with a few struggles and challenges captured emphatically.

Rabbi Shergill’s “Bulla Ki Jaana” is the highlight of the movie with the tone and texture of the song changing with situations.

The same sex love story has right intentions and nice moments, but it tries too hard and fails to make the impact.

Mare Of EastTown is a murder mystery that aims to solve the killing of a young woman and the possibly related disappearances of other two young women. Mare (Kate Winslet) is the detective sergeant in Easttown - a speck of a town in Pennsylvania - a place so small that everyone knows everyone else. There are lots of twists and turns to keep you hooked.

The show depicts an America which we cannot imagine - poverty-stricken, unglamorous, deprived, penurious community, failing wellbeing and devastated by drug crisis! Dark, dull, and grey! The setting is a character by itself.

And then there is Mare! A complicated, fallible, stoic, no-nonsense detective. She is a woman who has loads of things to take care of - come to terms with the suicide of her drug-addict son, divorce from her husband, fight a custody battle for her grandson, connect with her daughter etc. As she solves the case, she also fights her personal demons. She is amazing and a delight to watch!

The supporting characters are well-defined with great arcs and outstanding performances. The show is rich in empathy and compassion - women, mental illness, trauma, grief, trouble young teenagers!

Mare of EastTown - Do not miss it! Watch it for Kate! It is fitting that Titanic star Kate Winslet’s crashed HBO site for the grand finale!
