Twenty plus strangers from different countries, one steep trail, and the Sahyadris in full green glory. The climb was honest — sweat, dirt, breathlessness, and the kind of laughter you only find on a hard ascent. The forest kept us company. Birds we did not know the names of. Leaves we will not forget the sound of. The Mulshi lake watching us patiently from below. At the peak, the sky offered us a small shower — a quiet blessing for the effort. We rested at a solitary Ganesha temple, shared apples and pears like a sacrament, and let the view do what views do. The descent was its own gift. Strangers became a tribe.
