AppFest 2013 : Gujarati Dictionary Wins Runners-Up Prize @ Hackathon

AppFest 2013 was a grand success. Hackathon saw the best talent fight it out for the great honors and grand prize.

Space-O Team won the top honor for Book Barter concept. The runners-up prize was won by Arnion Technologies’ team of IT enthusiasts. These professionals tried to address the issue of language barrier faced by online users by introducing an offline Gujarati-English dictionary, which can translate words from and into both languages. The application developed by Keyur Brahmbhatt, Hitesh Chavda and Deval Talati allows users to select a word in other applications like books, websites or SMS, and converts it into another language. It learns the new words once the user goes online.

The Plot Is About Getting Back India’s Most Wanted Criminal From A Neighbor Nation. The Indian Anger For Terrorist Act And Hunger For Getting Back The Criminal Is Exploited Well (Like The Wednesday). The Four Protagonists Have Their Stories, Which Is Built Up Well In The First Half. The First Half Ends With A Foiled Attempt. The Second Half Is Interesting Except For The Last 5 Minutes. The Movie Ends Predictably.

Irrfan, Rishi Kapoor And Nasser Shine In The Movie. Irrfan Gives Another Power-House Performance. The Range Of Emotions Displayed By Him Is Phenomenal. Rishi Kapoor Is A Sheer Delight To Watch. The Lover-Boy Of Indian Cinema Is Shining As A Villain In His Second Innings. Agneepath Was Another Gem From Him. People Will Ask For Rishi-Ranbir Act Now !
